Work From Home Jobs for Stay-at-Home Moms
If you are a stay-at-home looking to work from home, this post may help you narrow down what you are looking for.
Let me start by saying remote jobs are no different than any other job. If it is not allowed in the office, it’s not allowed while working your shift from home.
Almost all companies that hire remote employees will expect you to have a private, distraction-free work area, free from noise. This applies to most non-phone jobs as well. If it’s a chat support job, for instance, the company will require you to answer two or three live chats simultaneously. You will be expected to do so promptly and efficiently; therefore, you will need a quiet home office, free from distractions.
For this reason, finding a remote job when you’re a stay-at-home mom can be a bit of a challenge. It is also why so many stay-at-home moms get lured into multi-level marketing and end up losing money.
Any real job will need your undivided attention.
If your kids are old enough to entertain themselves while you work, you should be able to find a remote job with no problem.
However, if your kids are really young, you’ll need to have someone watch them while you work or find ways to work around when they are home and awake.
There are several ways to this.
- Work at night after they’re asleep.
- Work while they’re at school.
- Work before they get up.
- Work while they nap.
