This post will focus only on the Customer Solutions Specialist position, which is within WEX’s internal contact center.

The company’s contact center operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week, to serve their customers, so they offer a variety of different shifts.

Some of the responsibilities of the Customer Solutions Specialist include:

  • Taking over 50 customer calls per day
  • Engaging with customers via telephone
  • Listening to and identifying customer issues
  • Resolving customer issues quickly
  • Educating customers on various alternatives or features
  • Influencing customers


  • High School diploma or a GED
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must be positive and upbeat
  • Must be able to keep composed under stress
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
  • Applicants must be able to pass a background check

All training for the Customer Solutions Specialist position is paid and completed remotely.
Training lasts approximately eight weeks.
Training is conducted Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM, until 5:00 PM, depending on your time zone.

This position is full-time, and the schedules will vary based on customer needs.

Pay and Benefits

According to Glassdoor, the pay for this position between $11 and $14 per hour.
