These Companies Hire Telemarketers to Work From Home

If you’re a people person, have the gift of gab, and are great at customer service, you’d probably be really good at a telemarketing job.

Just like so many other fields, a lot of companies are moving their telemarketing jobs away from the brick and mortar offices, to remote locations.

What is Telemarketing?

Telemarketing is actually like a sales job, but it involves calling individuals or businesses and trying to persuade them into buying a product or service or giving a donation to a charity.

Usually, it involves reading from a script pre-written by the company’s marketing department. You’ll have to memorize the script to sound more natural.

Skills Needed

You don’t necessarily have to have previous sales experience but having excellent customer service experience is a must.
You should also have excellent communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and basic computer and software skills.

Also, as with any other remote job, you must be a self-starter and self-motivated.

Equipment Needed

You’ll need a dedicated work area free from distractions, a computer or laptop with high-speed internet service, and MS Office or Google Suite, and a good noise-canceling headset. And, depending on the company, you may need a landline telephone service.

Some of the companies listed below hire entry-level telemarketers, while others require previous experience.
