About the Remote Customer Care Specialist Role

Types of things you may do at LiveOps include roadside assistance, outbound sales, inbound sales, take food orders, technical support, and more. Some of the basic duties include:

Requirements
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You must pass a background check.
Technical Requirements
You’ll need to have a home office that is quiet and free from distraction. Background noises like kids, dogs, traffic, doorbells, TVs, and radios will be distracting and keep you from getting your work done.
You will also need a desk and comfortable chair, along with a PC with Windows XP or later and high-speed internet. And, you’ll need a corded USB headset.

Eligible States
LiveOps currently hires remote agents living in the states of AL, AR, AZ, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WV, and WY.
If you don’t reside in one of these states, you cannot be considered for the position.
TrainingÂ
When you sign up with Liveops, you are required to take a certification course that can last anywhere from a few hours to several weeks.Â
Each course is specifically designed for the client you’ll be working for and teaches you everything you need to know about that client’s products, services, policies, and procedures. This is part of the training process and LiveOps does not pay you for this training since this is an independent contractor role.
Schedules
LiveOps services clients 24/7 so they have a variety of schedules. You are allowed to log on and off of the system throughout the day as long as work at least 30-minute blocks.Â
For each six-month contract period, there is no minimum number of calls or hours required. However, inactivity might affect your performance statistics. If you do not have a minimum number of calls or hours in a six-month contract period, Liveops might choose not to renew your contract.
Pay and Benefits
According to Glassdoor, the base pay for an agent is $31,373 per year or roughly $15.08 per hour.
Some of LiveOps clients pay for talk time, which means you’ll earn between 25 cents and 34 cents per minute, which equates to $15 to $20 per hour.
These positions are independent contractor jobs, so there are no employee benefits offered by the company.
More Information About LiveOps
Independent agents handle the sensitive information of callers and serve as the face of their clients’ brands. For this reason, they must also pass a background check. The background check is only required for independent agents who have been invited to provide services.
LiveOps uses a third-party service to perform its background check, and independent agents must pay for their own background check which costs approximately $45.
