Where to Sell Your Unwanted Stuff Online

Some people love yard sales. I get it. Yes, you can make a pretty decent amount of money having one, but with everything that goes into one…ugh!

You have to get up at the crack of dawn, on a Saturday when, you should be sleeping in, drag boxes upon boxes of stuff outside, unpack all the boxes, set everything up, and then spend the rest of the day haggling with people who only want to give you $0.50 for your “almost new” George Foreman grill.

Why go through all that hassle just trying to sell your old stuff and make some extra cash? Luckily, for those of us who dislike yard sales, there’s no longer any reason to waste a perfectly good Saturday, stuck at home having one. Now, we can sell all of our old stuff online.

Tips Before Selling

Here are a few tips to make things a little easier.

Sort all your items and have a separate box for each. Keep clothes in one box, old electronics in another, etc.

Some of these sites only allow you to sell particular items, and it will be much easier if everything is sorted out.

Any clothing should be washed and clean before you sell it.

Make sure everything is in good condition. No one wants to buy a toaster that doesn’t work.

If you have anything that may be of value, make sure you price it accordingly. Selling an antique desk for $20, only to find out later it was worth $200, would be a bummer. If you’re unsure, have it appraised.

And lastly, take good pictures and give a detailed description and information about what you’re selling.
